Everyone can find the answer to the needs in terms of style and space with CREO Kitchens with its mixture of exclusive compositions to give form and expression to their own way of being.

Melamine doors are made using a chipboard panel (or other type of composite made from recycled wood) coated on one or two sides with melamine paper. This is a synthetic material comprised of very thin sheets of paper (around one tenth of a mm) impregnated with a melamine-based resin. The use of this paper leads to the coated panel often being called a melamine panel. Initially used as an economical alternative to “real wood” or plastic laminate, it is now highly appreciated and widely used in the manufacture of furniture. This is largely thanks to the development of ever increasingly realistic papers, which are able to simulate the pores of natural wood, creating rough finishes. Melamine surfaces are very long lasting and highly scratch-resistant and solvents, as well as being very quick and easy to manufacture.

Products made from melamine laminates should only be cleaned using neutral detergents (i.e. neither acidic such as bleach, nor alkaline such as ammonia), which do not contain abrasive pastes: we recommend the use of detergents for cleaning glass, rubbing the doors with a soft cloth dampened with one of these products.

The Tranché finish gives the surfaces of the cabinets the textured effect of rough wood: a manufacturing process with a handcrafted flavour that preserves an irregular and archetypal line. Without compromising the functionality and durability of the materials, it elevates surfaces to a level of visual, tactile and evocative stimulus that preserves the original fingerprint of wood. This surface is widely used in interior design for kitchens and living room furniture.

At CREO Kitchens this special finish is used for models Tablet, Kyra, Ank, Rewind and Jey Feel.

Polymer coated doors are comprised of a medium density wood fibre panel (MDF) whose surface is coated with a synthetic material or PVC. This coating may be of variable thickness and gives the panel a pleasant appearance as well as making it highly resistant to liquid penetration and knocks. Polymer sheets can either have solid colours or wood-grain effects. Polymer coating allows the front surface of the door as well as the four side edges to be coated in a continuous manner.

This type of door can be cleaned using a soft cloth dampened with a non-abrasive detergent or a micro fibre cloth. In the event of more stubborn dirt, use a soft brush or sponge with a non-abrasive liquid detergent or glass detergent diluted 50% with water. In the event of limescale deposits use a detergent that contains acetic acid, citric acid, or, for lighter deposits, warm water. Do not use steel cleaning pads or products that contain abrasive creams or powdered detergents.

At CREO Kitchens polymer coated doors are used for models Kyra and Britt.

Veneered doors are comprised of a chipboard panel that is covered with a sheet of wood veneer. Sheets of veneer are very thin sheets of wood ranging from 3 to 30 tenths of a millimetre in thickness. Panels made in this way are then cut and edged with solid wood 2-3 millimetres thick. The panel is then varnished. Many different woods are used to make sheets of veneer and thus the finishes achieved can vary greatly (the name of the wood type is also used to define the type of veneer).

Clean gently using a damp cloth and dry thoroughly; do not use detergents and sprays which are not specifically designed for wood; dry any water droplets or steam to avoid damaging the varnish, particularly under the sink. Do not use products that contain solvents (acetone, ammonia, etc.).

At CREO Kitchens veneered panel doors are used for models Aurea, Contempo, Iris, Malin, Oprah, Raila, Selma and Vivian.

A door is called lacquered when it is coloured with various types of paints instead of being covered with a superficial layer of wood or laminate. In recent years lacquering has taken giant leaps, both in practicality and in resistance, not to mention in its attention to the environment. Curtain lacquering with UV technology is done on an acrylic base for a high level of surface and colour stability over time. In this case the products applied are hardened thanks to irradiation carried out by special lamps that emit high-energy ultraviolet light. This system allows for a quick and effective hardening of the resins, which thus produce very hard and resistant films. The surface finish is therefore highly resistant to scratches and wear and is extremely easy to clean.

In the specific case of the Tablet model, the lacquered finish is created using new technology that gives the surface layer a super opaque (2 gloss) finish and a range of mechanical features that are extremely similar to those of Fenix.

Clean the doors with a soft and damp cloth (microfibre type). For stains, add a mild liquid detergent to the damp cloth, such as a glass cleaning product. Do not use abrasive products (creams and powders) or those containing aggressive substances like alcohol, acetone, trichlorethylene, bleach, ammonia and their derivatives. Also avoid the use of rough cleaning materials, e.g. abrasive sponges or scouring pads, which would irreparably scratch the doors.

In CREO Kitchens, the UV lacquered doors are used on the Tablet model.

Doors painted with covering products are said to be lacquered: they stand out for their precious character and aesthetic impact. The lacquering can be glossy and opaque (the unit of measurement for shininess is units of "gloss"). There are various categories of lacquering: the differences are substantially attributable to the thinner used for application of the base resins (acrylic or polyurethane) and the paint hardening method. Safety of the finished product is guaranteed by applying a protective film. The lacquered doors allow a great variability of colours and special effects/textures. In some cases it is even possible to use lacquers based on RAL colours, but these require specific care and attention to avoid scratches, stains, scaling and discolourations.

Lacquered doors require few yet fundamental rules of use and maintenance. Normal cleaning must be done with a soft, slightly dampened microfibre cloth. For stains, a mild liquid detergent can be added to the damp cloth, for example a glass cleaning product.

In CREO Kitchens, lacquered doors are used on the Kyra, Rewind and Contempo models.

Acrylic is a product uniformly coloured throughout its body and is either shiny or deeply opaque. Ecological, 100% recyclable and non-toxic, it remains unaltered over time both in its structure and in its colours, which are resistant to UV rays. Brilliant, Elegant, Eco-friendly, Resistant. Four simple adjectives to solve the problem of shiny or opaque surfaces in any setting where elegance and perfection are the ultimate aim. Acrylic is perfectly flat and stable. Any scratches can be repaired with simple polishing. Acrylic doors consist of a chipboard support that is covered with acrylic sheets on the visible part and on the back. The profiles are normally edged in ABS.

Do not use the following products on them: acetone, ink and ethyl-butyl acetate. Any scratches can be repaired with simple polishing.

In CREO Kitchens, acrylic doors are used on the Zoe model.

Alkorcell consists of a polypropylene-based (PP) decorative sheet containing no halogens, plasticisers and formaldehyde. It is suitable for covering surfaces of wood-based materials and is used in the production of furniture components. A thermosetting paint gives the sheeting the properties necessary for these applications. For processes with different gluing systems, the sheeting is reinforced on the back with a primer and the gluing is done with dispersion or hot melt or solvent glues.

Alkorcell plastic laminate is a non-toxic material that allows any formaldehyde emissions to be eliminated entirely. It is a totally halogen-free continuous plastic coating. It is safe and non-toxic and entirely suitable for contact with food products, as well as being odourless and tasteless and certified as a safe and hygienic product. It is safe when burning, as it does not produce toxic or corrosive gases, and has a combustion completely similar to wood, with production of light-coloured fumes, so it is particularly safe in eliminating processing residues. It is also waterproof, so products made of Alkorcell are resistant to the damp, mould and micro-organisms.

In CREO Kitchens, Alkorcell doors are used on the Gayla and Mya models.

The Glaks door is an acrylic door made from a panel in MDF (medium-density fibreboard) covered on the outside with matt acrylic Glaks or glossy acrylic Glaks, while the inside part is covered with matt methacrylate (PMMA) in the same colour as the outside. It is edged on all four sides with an opaque ABS in the same colour and is embellished with a glass-effect bevel in matt or glossy colours. Glaks can be defined as an organic glass with aesthetic characteristics identical to glass (transparency, gloss or opacity), but with a series of important advantages in terms of resistance and safety: it is heat resistant (up to 90°C), unbreakable, resistant to scratches, shocks, wear, chemical agents and UV rays. It is a hygienic, ecological material because it is recyclable, non-toxic, easy to clean, practical from the point of view of use and maintenance.

For daily cleaning use a simple damp microfibre soft cloth to which can be added a mild liquid detergent in case of stains (e.g. simple glass cleaning products). Avoid using rough materials (abrasive sponges, scouring pads and similar) and very aggressive detergents. Also avoid contact with acetone and ink. Limescale residues can be removed with detergents containing low percentages of citric or acetic acid (maximum 10% formulation).

In CREO Kitchens, this particular finish is used on the Kyra model.
